Clean, moulding with great detail to replace poor/inaccurate original mouldings.

Disadvantages:

Conclusions:

A great set to improve the poorer Hercules wheels of the Italeri kits.

Upon opening the sturdy box you are greeted with a mass of resin parts. By mass I’m not talking about how many parts but the size and weight of the amount of resin used!

This set consists of 10 parts of very nicely detailed and cast resin. There are 4 main wheels and a pair of nose wheels. Along with those parts is a block with 4 very detailed brake hubs to be added to each of the main wheels. Close inspection finds no signs of any pinholes or moulding faults.

 

 

The sidewall detail is excellent with the Goodyear writing very clearly done.

Inside and outside hub details are different with the outside hub beautifully detailed with excellent nuts on the axle hub and the wheel plates. The nose wheels are equally well detailed and cast.

The brake hubs again lift the detail levels to the excellent level. The instructions consist of a small paper piece with simple drawings to show what to do in 1 step.

My only criticism is the very obvious spelling mistake of the word brake (several times).

 

 

Conclusion

All in all a great detail set for anyone game enough to build a 1/48 Hercules. They are designed to replace the Italeri kit wheels. This wheel set will lift the level of detail greatly for theItaleri C-130 Hercules.
