Advantages:

Clean, moulding with great detail to replace poor/inaccurate original mouldings. The fuel tanks made be made into a number of configurations.

Disadvantages:

None noted.

Conclusions:

The US 300gal tanks can be used on a multitude of aircraft in different tail set ups..

The US 300gal Fuel Tanks set gives us 26 nicely cast resin parts. It enables you to build 3 tanks in 7 different configurations for the A-6, EA-6, AV-8, A-7, A-1, A-4 and S-3s. Several of these aircraft have multiple versions used.

 

 

Brengun gives you a guide to what versions were used on each aircraft of the back of the instruction sheet.
Each tanks consists of a large solid body, a choice of tail units, a set of 4 fins, which only one version of the tanks uses all of them, and a pair of attachment lugs.

The detail is refined and clear of pinholes and obvious flaws. There is a mix if raised and recessed detail as was on the real tanks. The instructions are on a double sided strip of narrow A5 length paper. No paint callouts as they would vary with the scheme you are doing for each aircraft.

 

 

Conclusion

The US Fuel Tanks set would be particularly useful due to being able to be used with many types of aircraft. All in all a great set that will lift the detail of US Navy jets.
