Xtradecal has released a pair of new 1/72 scale Royal Navy stencil decals for the brand new Airfix Phantom FG.1 kit.

In this review, we are examining Xtradecal Item No. X72287 - RN McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1 Stencils Pt.1.

This set offer black and red stencil decals plus other high visibility markings including large serial numbers for the lower surfaces of the wings. One set of six hi-vis Type D roundels are also included.

There is also a set of small white serials are between the roundels and the black serials, but they are hard to see!

Instructions for the decal sheet are provided across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets. The location of the markings are clearly marked on the detailed line drawings.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

This release offers a comprehensive stencil decal solution for anyone building the new Airfix 1/72 scale Royal Navy Phantom FG.1 in a hi-vis scheme.
