In addition to printing high-quality markings for other decal companies, Fantasy Printshop also produces their own decals under the brand name of Euro Decals. These have tended to be national markings, serials and codes, and generic decals, but this time we have some timely options for the new 1/48 scale Gloster Meteor FR.9 kit.

This kit was released with with little fanfare. So little fanfare, in fact, that I was not even aware that the kit was out!

Markings are supplied for eight subjects in a variety of finishes.

  • Gloster Meteor FR.Mk.9, WL265 "LG", 79 Sqn, RAF Laarbruch Germany, May 1955. Finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces and PRU Blue below.

  • Gloster Meteor FR.Mk.9, WB125 "UU-B", 226 OTU, RAF Stradishall, UK, 1954. Finished in overall High Speed Silver.

  • Gloster Meteor FR.Mk.9, VZ611 "B-Z", RAF, UK, 1950s. Finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces and PRU Blue below.

    Gloster Meteor FR.Mk.9, WX973 "T-G", 79 Sqn, RAF Gutersloh, Germany, 1953. Finished in Dark Green and Medium Sea Grey upper surfaces with PRU Blue below.

Instructions are supplied in a ten page, double-sided folded and stapled booklet with full colour four views and notes on each subject.

The single decal sheet is printed perfectly by Fantasy Printshop.Colours look great, and the glossy printing is in register.

 

 

This is a very welcome release from Fantasy Printshop and in perfect time for the new Airfix kit.
