Dead Design has added to their masking sets with a number of vacform canopies and resin upgrade releases.
Dead Design has sent their 1/72 scale Ki-61 Id Hien Vacu Canopy and Mask set. This will be handy if you want to pose the canopy open, as the centre sliding secton will be scale thickness and easy to accurately pose open on the model's spine. The inclusion of self-adhesive die-cut masks is also very thoughtful. This will save you a fair bit of time measuring and cutting your own.
Also available are three sets of controls surfaces - 1/72 scale Ki-61 Id Hien for the Tamiya kit, and in 1/48 scale, A5M Claude for the Fine Molds and Wingsy Kits offerings. These are separate sets.
Ailerons, rudder and elevators are supplied with each of the sets. The 1/48 scale sets aso inckude the horizontal stabilisers.
The fabric effect on the control surfaces is delicate and convincing.
These are simple upgrades for anyone building the Wingsy or Fine Mold 1/48 scale Claude kits, or the Tamiya1/72 Hien.
Thanks to Dead Design Models for the sample.
