This is the delivery car version of one of history’s most famous automobiles. Superlatives and ahead of its time in many aspects, its layout and design resembles nevertheless the age of horse-drawn coaches. The lines of the wooden superstructure, the coach box-like seats or the wheels with wooden spokes bear witness to that.
This interesting dichotomy and the Ford Model T´s place in history motivated me to venture an excursion into car modelling.
The ICM kit provides everything for an easy and uncomplicated build of this iconic car. Details are adequate enough for this scale and the good fit of part add to the enjoyable nature of this project.
The only drawback I noticed have been the brittle decals; a close examination of the lettering “Quality first!” illustrates the troubles I had applying these decals.
All the brass-made parts have been painted with Alclad metal paint, all other paintwork was done with Gunze acrylics, and for the wooden parts pastels and acrylics have been used.
This is a truly superb kit of an iconic car! I recommend this to everyone in love with Ford Model T.
