Eduard's 1/48 scale MiG-21PF is available online from Squadron for only USD$31.99
This is my Accurate Miniature's 1/48 scale P-51A of 1st Air Comando Group CO Lt.Col. Philip G. Cochran.

Accurate Miniature's Alison Mustang is the only available 1/48 scale kit and it is reasonably good kit. I did some additional shape-up works to get more accurate outline.
I brushed up the cross section and side view shape of the nose cowl using correct shaped bulkheads of plastic sheet.

The kit spinner is a little small so I made it from an aluminum block.

The horizontal fin was from Tamiya kit.
The cockpit and gear bay were from Aires's resin set.

The windscreen was made of heat formed clear styrene sheet.

The wing tip and fin tip were replaced with aluminum sheet.

Panel lines were engraved with handmade template which was cut by cutting machine. Rudder and elevator ribs were depicted with custom made dry decals.

The gear leg was from Tamiya P-51 and it was reinforce with a brass rod. The tire was Eduard Brassin resin and the ten spokes wheel hub was from Tamiya.

Marking were painted with handmade masking sheet which was cut by cutting machine as well. Serial number and aircraft number were custom made dry decals.

The port side canopy door was made of PET bottle and gray cutting sheet. The top and starboard window was from Tamiya P-51B kit.

At the same time as modeling, I made drawings of Alison Mustang series - Mustang I, P-51, A-36A and P-51A.
These drawings are here in the following URL.
