Eduard’s re-box of the excellent 1/48 scale Hasegawa kit is a joy to build.

I used the DACO improvement set (sprue A only) to address two issues of the kit: the oversized rivets on the wings and the lack of defogging tubing inside the canopy. The rivets on the rear of the fuselage were filled up with a mixture CA glue/talcum powder.

For the RAL 7012 BasaltGrau I used a mix of Tamyia XF-66, XF-50 and XF-24 for which I unfortunately completely lost track of the ratios.

The underside was painted with Alclad Aluminium covered with a highly diluted off-white to get a weathered look.
