Xtradecal's 1/72 scale Junkers Ju 87 B/K/R Stuka decals
are available online from Squadron.com
This is a welcome set to compliment the rather good limited run Pavla kit and the 50 year old Revell kit (re-boxed by Classic Plane, Lodela and Takara).
The Decals
The decals are supplied in Xtradecal’s usual polythene zip-lock bag. The instructions are very nicely produced in colour, and clearly indicate markings placement. A brief note regarding the aircraft and its station location is given for each subject.
A list of Xtracolor and Xtracrylix paint codes is also provided for the colours required.
Modeller’s notes advise on whether a wooden or metal propeller was fitted, and also mention larger tyres being fitted in one case and a silver doped lower wing in another.
The specific subjects covered are:
-
BuNo 07103, 103, USN, NAS Corpus Christi, 1943;
-
BuNo 39123, 73, US Navy, 1944;
-

The decals appear superbly well printed by Microscale Decals, with excellent colour density and registration. The sheet reviewed here covers nine options; some of which are quite colourful, and all interesting in my opinion.
