Xtradecal has recently released a new series of 1/48 scale decal sets covering RAF Tornados in special schemes.

The three subjects are as follows:

• Tornado GR.4 ZA461 XV(R) Sqn 100th Anniversary. Wg. Cdr Jon Nixon/Sqn Ldr Conan Mullineux with red fin RAF Lossiemouth;

• Tornado GR.4 ZA456 9 Sqn 100th Anniversary. Wg. Com I.J.Sharrocks/Flt Lt A.H.Lock black fin RAF Marham;

• Tornado GR.4 ZG730 XV(R) Sqn RAF Lossiemouth, 25 Years on Ops in Desert Storm camouflage.

The set includes two full size decal sheets with data for two Tornados, including pink stencils for the Desert Storm option.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded A4 sheets and on the back of the A5-sized cover. Both side views plus upper and lower painting guides are provided for all aircraft.

Colour notes are supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

I do like these themed decal sheets.
