Xtradecal's 1/48 Mosquito Decals will be available online from Squadron.com
Xtradecal has released two new decal sheets for 1/32 scale Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc kits. These are great timing for the new Fly Model releases.
Tonight we are examining the first of these, Xtradecal's 1/32 scale "Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc Pt.1". This sheet offers markings for three varied Hurricanes.
Details are as follows:
-
BE643, AK-U P/O A.U.Houle 213 Sqn, Edku, Egypt, April, 1942. Finished in the tropical scheme of Dark Earth and Middle Stone over Azure Blue. Spinner is white with a red top.
-
BD929, ZY-S 247 (China-British) Sqn, RAF Exeter,1942. This aircraft is finished in overall Night (black)
-
Possibly Z3574 OK-2 personal aircraft of Air Vice Marshal Keith R. Park, AOC Malta, RAF Luqa, Malta 1942. This aircraft is finished in Dark Earth and Dark Green uppersurfaces over Sky with a black spinner.
One full set of RAF national markings are supplied plus two additional variations for the fuselage roundels.
Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded double-sided A4 sheets. Both side plus upper and lower views are provided for all three aircraft. Stencils are not included.
Colour notes are supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.
The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.
This release offers some interesting and colourful options for those building the new Fly 1/32 scale Hurricane kit.
Highly Recommended.
