Fantasy Print Shop Decals has produced a fine quality decal sheet in the AIRfile range depicting the Hawker Hunter Twin Seat Trainer in RAF Service.

The decals are superbly printed by the Fantasy Print Shop with good colour saturation and register. 

As usual with Fantasy Print Shop waterslide decals the carrier film is ultra thin and my experience with Fantasy Print Shop decals in the past has been that the decals have to be handled carefully and will snuggle down into the surface detail well.  The carrier film then almost totally disappears under a coat of clear.

The high quality waterslide decals contain options for the following 14 different single seat Hawker Hunters:

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL601 of No 1 Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Brawdy in late 1960s.  The aircraft is finished in overall High Speed Silver with yellow training bands.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL596 ‘I’ of No IV (AC) Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Wildenrath in West Germany in September 1970.  The aircraft is finished in overall High Speed Silver with fluorescent Red-Orange Stripes.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL612 ‘T’ of No 8 Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at Masirah in Oman in 1967.  The aircraft is finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces with Light Aircraft Grey under surfaces.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL600 ‘83’ of Royal Air Force WNo 83 Squadron of the Royal Air Force Wattisham Flight based at RAF Wattisham in the 1970s.  The aircraft is finished in overall Light Aircraft Grey with fluorescent Red-Orange Stripes.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL573 of No 12 Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Lossiemouth in early 1980s.  The aircraft is finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey wrap around camouflage.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL611 ‘T’ of No 43 (China British) Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Leuchars in 1959.  The aircraft is finished in overall High Speed Silver with yellow training bands.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL596 of No 54 Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Stradishall in March 1960.  The aircraft is finished in overall High Speed Silver with yellow training bands.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL609 of No 56 (Punjab) Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Waterbeach in 1960.  The aircraft is finished in overall High Speed Silver with yellow training bands.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL620 of No 66 Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Acklington in 1960.  The aircraft is finished in overall High Speed Silver with yellow training bands.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL566 “TW” of No 1417 Flight of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Khormaksar in Aden in 1967.  The aircraft is finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces with Light Aircraft Grey under surfaces

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL609 of 216 Squadron of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Lossiemouth in 1980.  The aircraft is finished in Roundel Red, White and Light Aircraft Grey training livery with black anti-glare panel.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL573 of 237 Operational Conversion Unit of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Honington in 1980.  The aircraft is finished in Roundel Red, White and Light Aircraft Grey training livery with black anti-glare panel.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL573 ‘WC’ of 237 Operational Conversion Unit of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Honnington in July 1987.  The aircraft is finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey wrap around camouflage.

• Hawker Hunter T.Mk.7. XL621 ‘81’ of No 4 Flying Training School of the Royal Air Force based at RAF Valley in 1973.  The aircraft is finished in Dark Green and Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces with Light Aircraft Grey under surfaces.  The spine, outer wings, fin and underwing pylons are painted white with red drop tanks.
