First Look. |
Advantages: |
Finely moulded. Good options to customise. |
Disadvantages: |
None noted. |
Conclusions: |
It is nice to see aftermarket figures available for larger scale models. This one will certainly enhance any model it’s used with. The detail is flawless, the head options are generous, and I’m sure it will make into a very realistic figure once painted. |

This unassembled figure is a highly detailed well optioned USAAF Bombardier. It is intended for the HK models B-17G, however should suit any USAAF 1/32 model.
The parts include Polyurethane resin legs, arms, torso and chest parachute. Lead free pewter parts are provided for a poseable oxygen hose, seperate mask and 4 different head options.
The head options are:
-
Goggles on, mask off
-
Goggles up, mask off
-
Goggles on, mask on
-
Goggles up, mask on
The detail included in the parts are very crisp, which will allow a wash to be effective when used. The sheepskin collar has texture and the boots have a detailed tread pattern, which is a nice touch. The goggles have been left without lenses, allowing Crystal clear lenses to be installed for a more realistic finish.
Basic dry fitting suggests the parts will fit together well once casting attachment points are removed. The casting points have been put in the joints, so won’t affect the detail once removed.
A suggested colour guide is given, no paint brands are mentioned, however the painting guide is comprehensive with its descriptions, and colour images of the finished product are included.
It is nice to see aftermarket figures available for larger scale models. This one will certainly enhance any model it’s used with. The detail is flawless, the head options are generous, and I’m sure it will make into a very realistic figure once painted
