I reviewed Brengun’s PE detail sets for Kovozavody Prostejov’s new 1/144 La-5 kits in January this year here on HyperScale. The review included canopies suitable for the La-5F & La-5FN, but not one suitable for the La-5. I have now received the La-5 canopy for a quick ‘First Look’.

 

 

The pair of canopies comes in Brengun’s standard card header with cellophane bag.  They appear to be of good quality, although some skill at micro-surgery will be handy when it comes to cutting them away from the backing.

 

 

Your care will be rewarded, especially if you choose to have an open canopy to show off the enhanced cockpit detail offered by Brengun’s PE sets described in the linked review mentioned above.

 

 

Conclusion

 

These canopies are a must-have if you use Brengun’s PE detail set in conjunction with the Kovozavody Prostejov La-5 kit.
