Zvezda's 1/48 scale Pe-2 is available online from Squadron

The 2016 building year has had a very late start for me. My first completion for this year is Zvezda’s 1/48 scale Petlyakov Pe-2.

I built this kit with the Eduard photo-etched update set, plus their SUPERFABRIC harness straps and canopy masks.

The kit is fabulously detailed inside and out. It does have a lot of parts, but the fit is superb as long as you prepare the parts carefully, constantly refer to the instructions, test-fit repeatedly and generally keep your eye on the ball.

I will be writing up this model for a big article (maybe two - I have more than 200 photos!) in Issue 61 of Military Illustrated Modeller.
