Xtradecal has recently released a new 1/72 scale decal sheet for eight Short Stirling Mk.III/IV aircraft.
The decal sheet includes specialised markings for the eight options plus one set of national markings.
All eight aircraft are finished in the night bomber scheme of Dark Earth and Dark Green upper surfaces over Night (Black), with variation provided by some subjects with invasion stripes and nose art.
Details are as follows:
-
Mk.III EF411 OJ-K 149 Sqn RAF Mildenhall;
-
Mk.III LK516 WB-J 90 Sqn RAF Tuddenham 1944;
-

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded A4 sheets. Both side views are provided for all aircraft.
The instructions also include colour reference photos and information on the Short Stirling Mk.IV 8Z-WEZ, which crashed at Skarsfjell, Norway, on 2 November 1944.
Colour notes are supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.
The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.
There is some great potential for customising your new 1/72 scale Italeri Stirling Mk.III/IV here.
Highly Recommended.
