Xtradecal has recently released a new 1/32 scale decal sheet for four F4U-1A / Corsair Mk.IIs in Fleet Air Arm and Royal New Zealand Air Force service.

The decal sheet includes national markings and specialised markings for the four schemes.

Details are as follows:

  • NZ5272/NZ5307 No 1 Servicing Unit Henderson Field, Gualdacanal 1944, two damaged aircraft joined together. Finished in Gloss Sea Blue (front half of fuselage, wings and rudder), and mid-war tri-colour camouflage (rear fuselage).

  • JT634 13-7/P 1834 NAS HMS Victorious 1944;

  • JT260 P54 757 NAS HMS Unicorn 1944;

  • JT238 3BB 759 NAS FAA Yeovilton 1943.

The three Fleet Air Arm machine are all finished in Dark Slate Grey and Extra Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces with Sky below.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across a folded A4 sheet. Upper, lower and both side views are provided for all aircraft.

 

 

Colour notes are also supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

 

 

Two full sized decal sheet provides the various unique markings and the national markings.
