Thundercals has sent the following information on their latest 1/48 scale decals:

Now available! NEW decal from THUNDERCALS
T-004 1/48th P-47D Thunderbolt Razorbacks PTO Part 4
19th and 333rd FS/ 318th FG, Pineapple Air Force

  • An all 318th FG P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback decal in 1/48th scale.  The decal features five P-47D razorbacks – three with alternate options. Printed on two decal sheets by Cartograph, researched by Norris Graser.  Historical information by Tom Foote, 318th FG Historian and Durwood Williams, 333rd FS, WW II. Designed for the Tamiya 1/48 scale Razorback, these decals can also be used on all available 1/48th Razorback models.

  • This decal is a short run printing project and will not be reprinted.   Decals are $22.00 each plus postage. To order, email Thundercals@yahoo.com

SMOKEPOLE  19th FS

SMOKEPOLE assigned to Lt. Hal Dunning and later, Lt. Harwood “Doug” Towner.  This P-47 features  a skull on both sides of the cowling


COCKPIT TROUBLE/Rascal III 333rd FS

A huge hunk of artwork applied to the left fuselage side by squadron artist Lt. Rieser who applied his talent to several 333rd P-47’s. This O.D P-47 at some point had a NMF cowl added.


BIG SQUAW  19th FS

Assigned pilot Capt. John Vogt who  would  become  Squadron Commander and an ace in a day flying his P-47N,
