Wingman Models have produced a very nice resin conversion set to update the Italeri CH-53 to represent the Israeli Air Force CH-53 Yasur 2000 and the 2025 versions.
The resin parts contained in this set are superbly cast and free from air bubbles and casting flaws. The conversion set contains two new external drop tanks to replace the style supplied with the very nice Italeri kit.
The Italeri kit comes supplied with the aluminium style main rotor blades and Wingman models supplies the later titanium main rotor blades as a direct replacement for the kit parts.
Two very nicely moulded engine intake screen parts are supplied to replace the Italeri kit parts which I would say are probably are the least best parts in the superb Italeri kit, but it is a stretch to say the kit parts are poor on detail, just the Wingman parts are so well moulded.
A new in-flight refuelling probe is supplied to replace the kit part, once again the quality of the resin part surpasses the original kit part.
The remainder of the resin parts are dedicated to the missile warning detection system and sensors, chaff and flares and various antenna fit particular to the Yasur 2000 and Yasur 2025.
A decal sheet is provided for all versions from 1995 to the 2025 version. The decals are crisp and in register and nicely printed by Isracast.
The instruction sheet contains 30 detail photographs in colour and black and white of the various versions of the aircraft indicating the fit of the resin parts and the decal locations.
Highly Recommended.
Thanks to Wingman Models for the sample
