For me, nothing symbolized the “Cold War” more than the Mig -21. Its unique design was a symbol of everything I expected of a Russian aircraft - small fast and effective.
This new release from Eduard is a little “cracker” consisting of 33 resin, 40 photoetch pieces and one small decal sheet and in some ways reminds me of what I liked about the Mig -21 itself.
This update is intended for Eduard’s just released “PF” version of the Mig -21. The resin is in a word “outstanding” and you would (in all honesty) be hard pressed to fault it.
All of the detail you could possibly need is included in this update. Take for example the instrument panel Eduard offer 3 ways of doing this, you can take your pick from either a resin, photo etch or decal option. Little touches like a Soviet era helmet really set this update apart. This update offers no real compromises in detail.
If you want the “wow factor” (and let’s face it, we all do) and plan to have the canopy open on your new Eduard kit, this may well be the option for you.
Highly Recommended
Thanks to Eduard for the samples and images.
