BarracudaCast is the resin accessory arm of Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios enterprise.
BarracudaCast has now released two drop-fit replacements for the seats in a wide range of 1/32 scale WWI British aircraft, including Sopwith Camel, Sopwith Pup, Sopwith Triplane, S.E.5a, DH.2, R.E.8 and more. Although Wingnut Wings automatically springs to mind, these will also be perfect for appropriate Roden and Academy kits too.
Two sets of wicker seat are offered.
BR32233 has a single simple seat with a short backrest. This was a standard seat.
BR32234 has two slightly different seats with a taller backrest, an open-woven section and hand holds at the front of the seats. These seats were a special order and proved popular with British pilots.
Both seats feature a tight wovern pattern for the seat base and wound wicker around the seat frame.
Casting and detail is up to BarracudaCast's usual superlative standards on all my samples. The seats are cast onto solid resin blocks, so take your time when removing these to avoid damaging the delicate backrests. I would recommend working your way in gradually from all sides with a razor saw.
These are all simple yet highly desirable finishing touches for your 1/32 scale WWI British aircraft projects.
All Highly Recommended.
