Toko's 1/72 scale
P-63A King Cobra

by Clark Duan

P-63A King Cobra

Academy's 1/48 scale F-4B Phantom II is available online from Squadron

Description

Here is my 1/72 TOKO P-63A 'Kingcobra'.

This kit is not so easy to assemble, but it may be the only available kit in the market of this scale. I used copper tube to replace the plastic gun barrel and corrected the canopy frame.

I painted upper surface of this aircraft with tamiya Olive Drab, and also applied several different tones of Olive Drab to get the weathering effect.

The decals do not easily conform to the surface, so I use both GSI's blue cap Mark Setter and Tamiya's strong Mark Fit. After applying the decals I added another weathering layer and painted the exhaust effect according to historical photograph.

Hope you like it!
