Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47D Thunderbolt is available online from Squadron.com for only $34.32!

This is my 1/48 scale Tamiya P-47D-40 finished in the markings of “Big Stud” flown by Colonel Bob Baseler in 1944.

The base kit is Tamiya P-47M.

Cockpit modified with Eduard instrument panel and seat belts.

Painting was done with Alclad lacquers as usual.

Wheels replaced by Ultracast goodies.

“Big Stud” decal and code number “88” are from old Hasegawa kit (JT41).
