Halifax MZ296 of 466 Squadron depicted on 24 August 1944 as she was for her final 466 operation to Brest on this date. Known as Lili Marlene and coded HD L at this time (previously HD R).

She was then transferred to 462 Squadron with her crew from 25 August 1944 and recoded Z5 L. The recent Airfix Halifax re-release depicts MZ296 as she was on 25 August 1944 at 462 Squadron as Z5 L.
