The Model Cellar is a manufacturer of military miniatures and historical figurines.  We produce a range of figures, busts, and diorama and model kit accessories with a special interest in The Great War 1914-1918 (World War I).  In addition to our own military figurines and WWI Model kits, we carry a selection of World War I models of various types including WWI airplanes, WWI tanks, ships and WWI figures from a variety of other manufacturers.

All three figure sets come in a sturdy cardboard box, with each figure in an individual plastic bag wrapped in bubble wrap, there is no way these will be damaged. The resin is free from bubbles and minimal flash, and with no casting blocks to remove, they will require minimal clean up prior to painting. The attachment points are all nicely formed with positive locating lugs and with such a snug fit, they look to not need any filler.

MC32008 WWI German Pilot & Mechanic

The mechanic consists of body, head and 2 arms, while the pilot, consists of body and left arm as one, right arm head, belt and flying helmet. The flying helmet is the soft type that in this set is moulded flat so you can display this on the wing or fuselage. 

The only drawback with this set is that the mechanics left hand is moulded to the pilot’s right shoulder, so they must be displayed together, or some surgery is required.

MC32016 WWI German 2 seater crew

Here we have two Aviators in a standing pose, the detail is amazing, the texture in the sheepskin lined jacket is phenomenal and the detail of both figures will look amazing once painted.

MC48001 Werner Voss

Last but certainly not least is a 1/48 Werner Voss, sculpted by Mike Good (available in 1/32 for $22.50). A classic pose of Werner Voss, with his hands in pockets wearing a service cap with goggles.

These sets are all highly crafted; the only thing I would like to see the manufacturer include would be a painting guide. Now due to the variations in uniforms etc even if some basic information was contained on the Model Cellar website that would suffice as a start point for you the modeller.

I highly recommend these for modellers with a minimum of a moderate level of ability and a steady hand to paint these wonderful figures.

I would love to see some aircrew produced seated so they can be displayed in their magnificent machines.
