Xtradecal has recently released a series of 1/72 scale decals commemorating the 70th Anniversary of D-Day.

The sheet under review tonight is "70th Anniversary D-Day Pt.2 - RAF, FAA & Commonwealth Multiple Engine Types".

Eight multi-engine aircraft and one glider are covered in this impressive release.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two double-sided A4 sheets, with a further double sided A5 sheet. Upper, lower and both side views are provided for most aircraft (no upper and lower view for the Mossie and the Beaufighter).

Colour notes are also supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

I was particularly pleased to see markings for the Stirling and the Horsa, as decals for these types are rare.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

Xtradecals' new decal sheets will be a great way to commemorate D-Day in 1/72 scale.
