Xtradecal, 1/48 scale

Xtradecal has recently released a new decal sheet for 1/48 scale F4U-1A, F4U-1D and FG-1D Corsairs in New Zealand service.

The decal sheet includes national markings and specialised markings for four varied schemes.

Details are as follows:

X48136 - RNZAF F4U Corsairs

• NZ5471/471 16 Sqn Fl.Lt. Wally Jacobs Jacquinot Bay 1945;

• NZ5272/NZ5307 No 1 Servicing Unit Henderson Field, Gualdacanal 1944, two damaged aircraft joined together;

• NZ5632/62 14 Sqn 'Kathleen' Iwakuni, Japan 1946

• NZ5632/32 14 Sqn Bofia, Japan 1948.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across a double-sided A4 sheet. Upper, lower and both side views are provided for all aircraft.

Colour notes are also supplied, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are beautifully printed and feature thin carrier film.

One full sized decal sheet provides the various unique markings and the national markings.

There is some great potential for some very striking Kiwi Corsairs here!
