Bell AH-1G Detail Sets & Paint Masks

Resin Improvement has quite an extensive range of detail and conversion parts in resin and both coloured and plain PE; they also offer and pre-cut paint masks. Their PE products are to be manufactured by Eduard, so the quality is automatically good, and I assume Eduard is behind the paint masks and resin as well; their quality is certainly excellent.

They sets reviewed here come in a zip-lock plastic bag with card header with comprehensive and well-drawn diagrammatic instructions.

RES-IM indicates the intended kit is AZ Model’s fairly recent AH-1G release.

I will not attempt to list or describe the numerous contents of these sets, but instead let the scans of their instructions and the PE frets themselves do the talking:

• PE72008 AH-1G Set – Coloured PE (mainly cockpit).

• 72015 AH-1G Gun Turret – Three resin turrets with armament choices and a small PE fret.

• CM72001 Su-7U – Canopy & wheels masks.

• CM72011 Su-7BM – Canopy & wheels masks

These are very good sets to enhance the AZ Model AH-1G kits. The production quality is very good, and the supporting instructions very clear and comprehensive. The masks are good quality too, and make painting a breeze.
