Each PE Fret and canopy comes in a cellophane bag stapled to a card header. Clear diagrammatic instructions are provided for the PE detail sets.
The MiG-17PF PE is set is intended for the Attack kit. The moulds for Attacks range of 1/144 scale jet kits has been taken over and re-boxed with new decals by Mark I Models, so it seems surprising that this brand is not mentioned on the product’s card header. The PE is well produced and provides a fair degree of cockpit detail considering the small scale, including an instrument panel with acetate film instrument dials (perhaps a bit over the top in this scale?). Other improvements cover the internal framing at the rear of the canopy, and replacement undercarriage doors. These last items should really improve scale finesse over the kit parts. The instructions are clear to follow (see accompanying image), although they do not provide colour call-outs.
The Super Hornet and Intruder canopies are well produced and should enhance the Dragon kits they are intended for.
Instructions and PE fret aside; the images accompanying this First Look are from Brengun’s website.
