Armycast M&M offer an interesting range of products in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/35 scales; and I encourage readers to take the time to check out their website. The decal and detail set reviewed here is intended to convert the Hobby Boss Mil Mi-17 kit to an early version by including Armycast’s set #AC72026 with decals for a Czech SAR machine, plus decal for a choice of two SAR Mil Mi-2’s as well.
The decals and resin parts both come in an A-5 sized zip-lock plastic bag. The decals and resin are each further enclosed in their own small plastic bags. There is two-page coloured markings guide with multiple views of the helicopters’ markings. Colour call-outs are generic. The resin conversion and detail parts are handled by an A-5 sized set of instructions in English that are adequate for the task. Both the decals and resin parts appear to be very well produced.
Markings are provided for:
-
Mi-17 “0850” SAR, Czech Air Force, Pizen-Line AB, 1994-97.
-
Mi-2 “0717” SAR, Czech Air Force, Pizen-Line AB, 1994-97.
-
Mi-2 “0718” SAR, Czech Air Force, Pizen-Line AB, 1994-97
This is a well produced set that enables colourful and slightly different versions of two classic Mil designs to be produced.
Definitely recommended.
