Zvezda's 1/48 scale Sukhoi Su-2 is available online from Squadron.com

This is the new 1/48 Scale Zvezda SU-2.

This is the first time that I have built a Zvezda kit, and I was impressed with the detail and fit of the parts.

Very little filler was needed, and the surface detail was impressive.

The kit was built mostly out of the box, with only the addition of seatbelts, decals and a photo-etch sight for the rear turret gun. I also drilled out the four wing machine guns and replaced them with steel tubing. I chose the paint scheme of an SU-2, with the remnants of the winter white wash used by the Soviet air force.

This was an interesting subject, and I would highly recommend this kit to anyone interested in World War 2 Soviet aircraft.
