Revell's 1/48 scale PV-1 Ventura is available online from Squadron.com

The new brand Gaspatch Models 1/48 scale Salmson Otsu-1, for a first issue, is a masterpiece. Details are amazing for a quarter scale.

Building the kit is a real pleasure. No bad surprises. The fit is quite good. One jig, paint masks for hinomarus, photo-etched and resin (machine gun) parts are supplied.

Two mains difficulties; separating some pieces from the sprue (some are very fragile), and the rigging which is quite complex.

I chose to represent a recon aircraft, so there is a camera instead the rear machine gun and no camera inside. Many pictures depicted the Otsu-1 with spoked wheels, so that is why I have decided to upgrade the covered wheels of the kit.
