True Details has expanded their range of standalone parachutes to 1/48 scale. The first of these is a pair of US WWII Era Aircrew Parachutes.
They represent the Type AN-6510 parachute.
Both parachutes are cast with the pack facing up.

No assembly is required as each parachute is cast as a single part. Just clean up the surrounding resin waste, prime and paint and you're done!
I have found that the easiest way to prepare these parachute was to trim off the surrounding resin with a hobby knife then sand the back of the parachute against a course sanding stick to thin the casting puddle.
These are simple but well detailed and original accessories. The parachutes will be really interesting additions to a pilot figure, an aircraft (resting on the wing or beside the fuselage) or a diorama.
Highly Recommended.
Thanks to Squadron for the review sample.
