True Details has now added a third 1/32 scale resin Luftwaffe parachute to their new range of standalone parachute packs with .

After releasing two backpack parachutes recently, this one represents a Luftwaffe Fl 30231 seat pack type, based on the British Irvin design, sculpted to represent an aircrew chute in pre or post-mission repose with integral pack, harness and hardware. This type of parachute was used by Messerchmitt Bf 109 and Bf 110 pilots, Ju 87 pilots and rear gunners, and the crew of other aircraft that featured a bucket recess in the aircraft seat.

Both these sets will be really interesting additions to a pilot figure, an aircraft (resting on the wing or beside the fuselage) or a diorama.

I found the easiest way to prepare the parachute was to trim off the surrounding resin with a hobby knife then sand the back of the parachute against a course sanding stick to thin the casting puddle.

No assembly is required as thr parachute is cast as a single part. Just clean up the surrounding resin waste, prime and paint and you're done!

This is another simple but well detailed and original accessories.

Highly Recommended.

Thanks to Squadron for the review sample.
