An inexpensive and nicely detailed enhancement set for any 1/72 Sabre kit. Highly recommended.

FirstLook

 

Designed for the 1/72 Academy, Fujimi and Hasegawa kits, this wheel well detail set is a little gem. The wheel wells are full depth and have all of the hydraulic lines and other structures finely moulded in place. The craftsmanship in such a small item is beautiful.

The only real problem I see will be removing the gear doors from the mould blocks. As an example seen in the image, the main gear doors have a thin part of the mould plug cast across approximately 1/3rd of the outer face of the gear doors. This also applies to the smaller main and nose gear doors. This won’t be impossible to remove but some patience will be required to clean it up.

 

 

Conclusion

 

This is a nicely detailed and more importantly cheap enhancement set for any of the 1/72 Sabre kits that are currently available.

No doubt each kit will have its idiosyncrasies when fitting the parts but that shouldn’t prevent you from getting one of these beautiful little sets.
