Each set comes in a cellophane bag stapled to a card header, and all include instructions. The cockpit sets have a transparency for their PE instrument panels. The instructions are easy to follow, and the PE frets and resin parts are of good quality. The lack of colour call outs for the cockpits is a minor inconvenience, but is easy to overcome.
The review images are from Brengun’s website. These illustrate the PE parts in situ on their intended kit. This is more useful than an image of a PE fret alone. I have combined these with scans of their respective instructions. The general details of what each set provides are as follows:
-
BRL72053 – P-38 (for the RS Models kit): This set replaces the kit seat and instrument panel, provides a lot of detail for the cockpit sidewalls and tops for the radio boxes behind the pilot, and faces for the radiator matrixes in the tail booms.
-
BRL72055 – MiG-21 SM/SMT (for the RV Aircraft kit): This set improves the kit’s cockpit sidewalls and replaces the instrument panel, provides a seat harness, enhances the undercarriage with brake lines and replacement doors, and provides pitot and antennae blades.
-
BRL72055 – LF-107 Lunak Glider (for the Admiral kit): This set provides a complete cockpit, spoilers, and control surface actuators.
These are all good detail and accessory sets that will enhance their intended kits. Their lack of colour call-outs is easy to overcome. I am pleased to report that there are no superfluous parts with these sets. I am happy to recommend all of the sets reviewed here.
Recommended.
