Additional details:
A lot of scale-kit spare parts, Preiser Coco-Palms an some things I found in my Garage.
Painting and marking:
All work were done with several Tamiya- and Gunze-Acrylics. Washing´s from AK-Interactive, Pigments and Powder from MIG were also used.
I got some problems by using the original GWH-Decals. They are not thin enough to apply acceptable over the Eduard etched parts. So I used a nice decal set from Super Scale Int. It fits!
Diorama:
The idea to build a diorama was born in one of the first building phases. During several photo-research by internet, magazines and books, over and over again I saw the same refueling-scene.
To realize this I built a fitting base using plywood which is framed by self made strips of beech wood.
Quite different from any other dioramas I made, I decide to use a background picture. The Internet and a poster-service do the rest.
Figures:
For building the figures parts from Preiser, ICM and Tamiya have been used out of the box respectively they have been combined.
