Eduard's 1/48 scale P-39 Airacobra Dual Combo is available onine from Squadron
Here is my 1/48 scale Eduard "Dual Combo" P-39/400 Airacobra, Eduard.
P-39s of all variants have been used by various allied air forces, one of them being the fighter regiments of the Soviet air force. The specific kind of warfare over the eastern skies seemed to highlighten the not always loved qualities of this unique fighter layout, so P-39 could be found in the Soviet arsenal from 1941 until the end of the conflict.
The first Airacobras that have been put into Soviet service stem from a cancelled British order- my P-39 is one of these.
These uniquely silver painted aircraft have been used to protect incoming convoys in northern Russia, flying from bases around Murmansk.
Eduard offers in this „combo“ edition various soviet P-39 camos, one of them was this striking one.
I could- and would- not resist! The kit, being supplemented by etched parts and also including masks fo the clear parts, was an inspiring pleasure to build.
If you are interested in the building process, please have a look on the workbench at the JAM Forum:
