Here is an oldie but goodie - the Airfix 1/72 scale Blohm und Voss Bv 141.

I built this Airfix kit a few years back and I am still impressed to this day with the results. It is clear that kits of this vintage lack the fine detail that we enjoy nowadays, and this one needed a little help. A new prop and cooling fan from an Fw190 really helped a lot.

Some work on the gear doors and the rear MG went a long way also.

On some of these older kits I will leave a lot of the old detail alone in the same way one would not refinish an antique piece of furniture. I do this in tribute to the old timers who gave us this amazing Bv 141 kit.
