Signifer is based in France. They have a very wide range of products and detail sets for model kits is but one of them.

Amongst their latest batch of releases in 1/48 scale is SN48012 which provides a pair of resin aftermarket exhausts to replace those in the Tamiya kit of the Fieseler FI-156 Storch.

The set comprises just the two resin parts (not the four shown in the image) that are cast in a very hard but flexible mid-pinkish/red shade of resin.

The casting is excellent on both of the pieces in my sample and I could not find a single pin-hole in either part. There is however a fair amount of flash that will need to be removed from the parts before they are ready to be painted but this will be very easy task with a sharp hobby knife.

Not a lot to say about the detail really as it is just a cylindrical exhaust manifold/pipe that the part is representative of. The end of the pipe is hollowed out to a reasonable depth and the thickness of the walls of the pipe is very, very thin indeed and they are of equal thickness all the way around as the images of the unprepared parts taken from Signifer’s website show.

No instructions are provided but then again they are really not needed?

Packaging is via a small plastic zip-loc bag stapled to a thin cardboard header card that shows an image of a completed Tamiya Storch kit and the unprepared parts.

A great little accessory set from Signifer that will provide you with a drop fit replacement for the parts in the Tamiya kit.

Thanks to Signifer for the images and information
