Description

Here are some photos of my recently complete Wing Nut Wings RE.8 Harry Tate.

The subject is B5081 of B Flight, 3 Squadron, Australian Flying Corps, at Bailleul, France in November 1917. At that time it was the mount of the Deputy Commander of B Flight, LT Henry Wrigley, widely regarded as the father of the Australian air power doctrine and thought.

The model is built straight from the box and finished with Tamiya acrylic paints. Markings were a mix of kit supplied decals and masked and painted aircraft letter and Corps marking. Once a base is completed the model will be displayed in the H.N. Wrigley display at the RAAF Air Power Development Centre in Canberra.
