Hasegawa's 1/72 scale Ki-49 Donryu “Helen" is available online from Squadron
Here is my Hasegawa 1:72 scale Ki-49 Donryu “Helen".
This Ki-49 kit provides all you can expect from a typical Hasegawa boxing: excellent fit of the parts, feasible parts break down - and sparse detailing in the cockpit and wheel bays area. I have added some extras with scratched parts, some copper wire and thrilling out the highly visible exhausts on the outside of the engine nacelles.

My special interest on this model was scaling down the effects of a well worn surface; therefore I have tried to minimize the dimensions of the abrasions. Weathering and dusting was done with Aquarelle and Pastels colours.
My model shows a combat veteran of the 20th Independent Flight Group, flown in New Guinea in 1943-44.
