Here is my latest project, a late version Focke-Wulf Fw190 D-9 in 1/32 scale. Many call it the big tail Fw190 D-9.
The kit is the Revell boxing of the Hasegawa tooling. Some extra work was added including rivets, seat belt, and lowering the tail wheel a bit.
I painted the base color with Gunze laquer , then used masks to create marking. I used Tamiya acrylic for marking. he reason to choose acrylic was, I could wipe the marking with detergent if I made any mistake without ruining the basecolor. I used mask from Kagero book for swastika and Balkan cross. The tail number, stripe and Brown 4 marking were made by my friend Sinang, who always supports me with his research for my aircraft project. All stencils were taken from kit decal sheet.
Weathering was done with post shade, oil paint, silver pencil and pigment.
Finally, after 2 months fun work my lovely Dora was finished, sitting pretty on my desk, and I’m quite satisfied with the result. It won't be my last D-9 .
