Advantages:

Diverse range of markings for a wide assortment of nationalities; attractive artwork; decals with minimal carrier film and perfect colour registration.

Conclusion:

An excellent publication that provides alternate markings for your subject and backs it up with period photographs, decals and colour profiles.

If you want your next modelling project to wear a different livery from that found in the box, then these releases could be just what you’re after.

Mark I Ltd. continues their “Dozen Set” series with a look at two more popular Luftwaffe subjects.  These handbooks are specifically aimed at modellers and as the title suggests, presents twelve aircraft for review.

Each is given a 2 page spread with a documenting period photo and accompanying close-up shots of the airframe. These detail images include cockpits, radiators, superchargers, wheel wells, undercarriage legs and much more.

Complimenting these publications is a set of decals from BOA Agency. They are superbly printed with very thin carrier film and perfect colour registration. Thoughtfully there is some stencil data included but the uninitiated will have to look elsewhere if a detailed placement guide is required. This is normally found on the kit instruction sheet in most cases.

Conclusion

 

These 28 page publications offer the modeller an excellent choice of alternate markings for your chosen subject.

They don’t just represent the aircrafts’ country of origin, but include markings for those nationalities that also flew the type. The quality of the decals is first class and the reference photos for each aircraft allow the modeller to check the source of the artwork.

Thus it’s an ideal package to make your aircraft a little bit different from the rest.
