New from Resin Art is a highly detailed interior set for the Kopro/Eduard Su-7 kit. Considerable research has gone into this multi-media set with the assistance of the Vyskov Air Museum.
The parts come in a vac-form blister pack with self-evident diagrammatic instructions and notes in English and Czech. The set includes resin parts, Eduard pre-coloured & normal photo-etch details, plus a vac-from canopy. Extensive instructions accompany this package with superb quality graphics, the painting guide has colour call-outs are for Agama, Humbrol, Model Master and Mr Color paint brands.
The parts themselves are crisply cast in a green resin on easily removed fine casting blocks. Detail levels and finesse are to the highest standards. The pre-coloured PE frets are also excellent, and the vac-form canopy flawless
The finesse of the parts is stunning. In fact you can see the hand-crafted masters on Resin Art’s web-site here. The instrument panel is worth mentioning because it is a very thin casting behind which pre-coloured PE dial faces are fixed. This ensures you get all of the bezel detail created in resin with very fine printed detail for the instruments. Of course you could also sandwich some thin clear acetate in between to represent the instrument glass faces. The resin ejection seat is dressed up with seat belts from the pre-coloured PE fret. I usually like my belts cast with the resin seat, however having recently completed seats using the same system I can advise that the finished result is very nice. The set is rounded out by a well formed canopy, and the level of internal detail just begs that this be displayed in the open position.
As an aside, Resin Art also makes a wheel set for the same Kopro/Eduard Su-7 kit.
This is a superb cockpit detail set, it will really lift your Kopro/Eduard Su-7 model.
Highly recommended.
