Tamiya's 1/32 scale Spitfire IXc is available online from Squadron
After several months, the Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire Mk IX is done for the most part. There are a few minor touch-ups to do, but here are some pictures.
Many aftermarket detail sets used, Eduard and another detail set were used in the cockpit, new cannon bulges were used for a more correct shape, brass cannon were used, and finally an aftermarket decal set.
The particular aircraft you may recognize as EN 398, the same aircraft Johnnie Johnson was later to use. Had to do something different as everyone does Johnson's Spitfire...
The fit of the many parts associated with the cowling is so fiddly that it is difficult to get the panels to fit as advised.
Hope that you enjoy the pictures - it took me a LONG time on this one - one more in the stash with the same detail sets!
