Hasegawa's 1/48 scale P-40N Warhawk is available online from Squadron

After building Mauve's P-40N for Euro Modelismo, I decided to try Hasegawa's kit.

In my opinion this is a much better kit.

The only issue with the Hasagawa kit is the time and attention needed to fix the tail to fusalage joint.

This was a time consuming build, but I am pleased with the outcome.

The kits and accessories used are as follows:

• Hasegawa 1/48 scale P-40N

• Eduard Flaps

• Avionix resin Cockpit

• Ultra Cast resin exhausts

• Master .50cal brass gun barrels.

Paints used were Testor's Model Master enamel Sand on the upper surfaces and Testor's Duck Egg Blue lower surfaces.

I used the Hasegawa decals as they proved to be accurate from the few very good reference pictures of the aircraft.

The model was weathered with Mig Pigments.
