Description

Here is my vintage Hasegawa 1/72 Curtiss SOC-3 Seagull.

I added scratch built details to the interior: internal framing, radio equipment, new seats and belts, rudder pedals, loop antenna and a new instrument panel.

I also improved the radial engine, with bits of styrene and copper wire and copper tube for the exhausts.

The bulding was straightforward, with only minor filling and sanding.

The color bands on tail, wings and fuselage were masked and painted.  I used some of the old original decals with a previous coat of liquid decal film to protect them, and the rest came from my spares.

The clear canopy is vacuum from Falcon, cut to pose in open position with decal framing, only the windshield is from the original clear part.

The rigging and aerial antenna where made from stretched sprue.

Greetings from Guatemala. I hope you like it.
