RB Productions has released a new range of stainless steel saws that will have a great number of modelling uses.
Four grades of saw are offered. All four are presented in robust but admirably thin stainless steel. The four grades are:
RB-T014 - Rapid Cut Saw Blade (12 teeth per cm)
RB-T015 - Medium Saw Blade (16 teeth per cm)
RB-T016 - Fine Saw Blade (24 teeth per cm)
RB-T017 - Rapid Cut Saw Blade (48 teeth per cm)
The coarsest of these blades will be pefect for making fast cuts and removing resin parts from casting blocks.
The Medium blade looks like a great, versatile, everyday tool for cutting styrene, resin and other materials.
The Fine and Ultra-Fine blades will be ideal for those jobs where you need precsion and do not want to lose excess material.
The blades may be mounted on a separately supplied Universal Holder. Screws and nylon-cushioned bolts are included with the holder. The holder then simply slips into a regular hobby knife handle.
Each blades is drilled with six holes, which means that they can be mounted in the middle of the Universal Holder or on either side. This will be very useful when you need to make very deep cuts, or on the shallow wide when you want a very stable cutting tool.
The stainless steel construction of these new RB Productions saws means that they will be very robust during tough cutting.
They will be a regularly-used tool in my modelling armory.
Thanks to RB Productions for the sample
