Xtradecal continues to produce excellent quality decals. They have produced yet another fine quality decal sheet, this time depicting five BAE Hawks. Six FRADU Hawks based at RNAS Yeovilton were painted in the Royal Navy display scheme and all six serials are included and four squadron jets from 19(R) SQN, 74(R) SQN and 208(R) SQN, 4 FTS based at RAF Valley and 100 SQN based at RAF Leeming in 2009.

The decals are superbly printed and they have good colour saturation and are in perfect register.  As usual with Xtradecal products the carrier film is ultra thin and should snuggle down well into the surface detail. 

 

 

The options provided for the five aircraft are as follows:

  1. BAE Hawk T.1 XX301 of FRADU based at RNAS Yeovilton in May 2009 commemorating 100 years of Naval Aviation. This aircraft is finished in overall Gloss Black. The tail fin is finished in overall red, white and blue. The navy flag (more correctly A White Ensign) is painted on the top of the fin with the years 1909 to 2009 painted above. The motto “Fly Navy 100” is painted at the base of the fin. The words “100 Years of Naval Aviation” are painted along the fuselage side just above the intakes. Six alternative serials are included

  2. BAE Hawk T.1 XX289 of 100 SQN based at RAF Leeming in 2009 commemorating the 90th anniversary of the RAF Benevolent Fund.  This aircraft is finished in Overall Gloss Black.

  3. BAE Hawk T.1 XX178 of 19(R) SQN 4 FTS based at RAF Valley in 2009.  This aircraft is finished in Overall Gloss Black.

  4. BAE Hawk T.1 XX307 of 208(R) SQN 4 FTS based at RAF Valley in 2009.  This aircraft is finished in Overall Gloss Black.

  5. BAE Hawk T.1 XX316 of 74(R) SQN 4 FTS based at RAF Valley in 2009.  This aircraft is finished in Overall Gloss Black.
